Where have you guys been buying the Baldwin filter from??
Baldwin PF7977 for me, as well.
Thanks for all of your input on this subject. I will check into the Baldwin filter sounds like the best going. I have been presently changing the Fleetguard filter every 5,000 miles, at the recommendation of a mechanic I use. I am sure a secondary filter system would be ideal and would help filter the fuel better.

I wouldn't change your fuel filter that often. A used filter is more effective than a new filter, and you will not plug a PF7977 in 5,000 miles unless you fill your tank with DIRTY DIRTY fuel.
Cat has a service bulletin about over servicing fuel filters and their recommendation not to do it too often.
Stick with the PF7977 on 15K mile or 18 month intervals, whichever is sooner.
How are the Napa Gold filters?
