Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Different Fuel source=hard start

I usually buy fuel locally at the same place. Lately with the prices all over the place, I switched to buying at the local Giant station for 8 cents less. Then I developed a hot hard start problem. . Being the brain that I am, I checked every connection, changed filter AND water separator, nothing. . Starts good cold, cranks 10-15 seconds hot, then blows blue smoke. Had planned to drop the tank before a trip to San Francisco on the 22nd.



So. . last night I stopped at the old place and got $20 worth to get me by, and behold... . Starts just fine again. .



Now I am worried... Is it fuel or is it something else ?? I don't have time to test another tank full from Giant.



So... Anyone else have trouble with fuel from Giant (New mexico and Arizona only, I believe) ???
