I was following along on the thread concerning the use of taller tires or going to an OD to get better milage.
With the limited selection of gearing available to these axles, Has anyone put some thought into swapping in a different axle (4x2) or axles (4x4)? Something that has lower numerical gears available?. (3. 0-3. 6). I suspect the issue of the tone ring and the brake configuration would/might limit the selection, but I suspect someone could engineer a way around those issues...
