i am a little confused here, i was looking at may manual today and it says

if you have the AAM DIFFERENTIAL you dont need additives, but when i took

my truck in for service at the dealer a while back the told me the diff. needed

to add additives. i have a 2004. 5 ctd 325/600 so i assume i do have the AAM DIFF. does anybody know the scoop on this?

2004. 5 CTD, short bed, 4 x 4, 325/600 high output, rancho shocks, bf goodrich all terrain, billet grill, open exhaust, f/er 30fer, gauges, deep tans pan and more

You are right, dealer is incorrect.

AAM axles have gear type limited slips and DO NOT require LSD additive. The Dana axles have clutch type limited slips and require additive.
