I am getting ready to change the gear lube in the differentials and need your help and advice. 75W90 or 80W-140? I am going to use Royal Purple in it due to the temperature swings here throughout the year and I plan on towing more this year.

Can someone tell me in US quarts how many I need for each differential please? Thanks.

Also, since I'm on the subject, should I also change the fluid in the transfer case also? It has only been in 4WD less than 10 times. What kind of fluid does it take? ATF?

Thanks everyone.

Mberry- you can find out all the fluid capacities and requirements here .

Royal Purple is a great product, I used it in my 96 in the transmission and differentials and had no problems. Significantly lowered my temps. Unless you have reason (extreme cold climates) you should be fine with the 75-90.
