I dont do any heavy towing and am just wondering if I really need to change my diff. fluid at 15,000 miles? I am seeing on many posts that alot of people do this? Are you all heavy haulers? And is it a tough job to do if I have to do it?
I have not quite reached the 15K mark yet. I do not tow heavy either. I plan on changing mine at 30K and when I do I will install the Mag Hytec covers.
Not a 15k 30k maybe. My neighbor pulls a 3 horse trailer all hi way. Has 87k as of last week. Just serviced his(4x4)for the FIRST time. Fluid was of good color, clean and inside of Diffs looked like new. He still has original tires!!
I don't think 15k is whats recomended for non towing. Need to find out for sure. Datsun/Nissan I handled had DRAIN AND FILL plugs in the covers. Usually was a snap to change.
