Now that I'm over with my transcooler project, it's time to think about diff covers and my first choice is Mag Hytec for looks and functionality. I'm open to other options, but I need it to also work for the front diff as well. My truck is a C&C, so I'm not aware if there would be differences with front diff, or rear for that matter.

I have the Mag-Hytec cover on my front differential on my 08 4X4 2500. I had to grind the cover slightly to provide clearance with the steering linkage; otherwise the linkage will make its own clearance. There is a solid block of Al that I ground down to provide the clearance; I ground this down on installation. I now have 60,000 + miles with no issues with the front cover clearance or leaking and cracking of the cover.

Some fit without any issues others need a little clearance grinding. I believe this is due to the frame mounting points that are welded on the box section since there are manufacturing tolerances involved.
