Just put on a MagHytec on my Dana 80 and an oil temp guage. What is everyone else seeing for oil temp? Please include (est) GVWR and air temp. Thanks

Don't plan to take my camper out until July, but running around empty I am seeing about 140-degrees. Weather has been around 70-80 and I do a 2000-ft climb/decent each way on a 39-mile commute. It's been so boring, that I usually toggle the gauge back to engine oil temp.

P. S. GVWR is about 8000 lbs. when empty.

On a road trip running empty it ran 155-160 at about 75 deg and later in the day at about 85-90 deg it ran 165-170. Havnt had the truck long so no idea about oil condition but will change it in a day or 2 to be sure. No fancy cover on mine just replaced the fill plug with the sensor, dont how much difference it will make.

Towing approx. 9k, ambient temp. =85F, prolonged highway speeds (75 mph), Mobil 1 75W-90... . my temp. tops out at 225F.

Running unloaded, temps in low 90's, high humidity - 205 degrees. With trailer - 220. I haven't towed since I drained the synthetic and went to regular gear lube.

Thanks for the info. Mine runs 180F empty w/ambient = 97F. I will be towing 11k this weekend then (as soon as I can find 90W synthetic in 5 gallon pail) will be changing to synthetic. Just wanted a baseline from other users.
