That should allow me to bypass the DNS, right?

That's the correct IP address for the server - however it will be changing sometime in the next month or so. Why do you want to bypass DNS? Once you get to the forums you're going to get bounced back to the DNS address anyways because that's built into the software.

Sometimes my access is FUBAR and I like to eliminate variables. So if'n the homepage pops up and then I get bogged down, I can blame the DNS servers.
