Issue 56 is here! Almost...

Anybody ever move a Shed?

i've got my eye on the canon rebel xti. . just waiting for the kit [camera, 2x lenses, carry case] to go on sale [i'm hoping for under $1,000cdn]

it'll probably go on sale when their new image processor comes around

I have the Canon Rebel XT. It is everything I ever wanted in a camera. I already had several lenses for a Canon 35mm film camera (also a rebel), they all fit my Digital as well. If you want "anti shake", canon as well as several manafactures sell them for the Canon line of DSLR cameras. Plus there are many flashes you can buy from canon or aftermarket. I picked up this 50mm lens for cheep just to see "how it worked". I think its F1. 8, it is really great for taking pictures in places you can't use flash (plays, etc).

I would not trade my Canon for anything.
Watch for deals. I got mine (with the factory lens) from Dell for around the price listed for that sony above.

I like my Rebel XT but found its limits rather quick for the type of photos I take. 3FPS isn't enough and the buffer size is too small. One of these days I'll upgrade to a 30d. 5fps and a buffer big enough to handle all the shots I wanna take till the CF car is full.

The rebel XT is the 2nd generation one correct? That's what I have. Try a faster flash card. I have a real fast one, I have never tried to just hold down the button but I know I can take several in a row. Now if I use my 3 gig hard drive compact flash I can only take around 2 before the camera stops to load the file onto the card.
