anyone have experience restoring cars?

Got to tow a SuperDuty today...

My wife is looking to buy one of these to replace her old "suitcase". Neither of us are all that knowledgeable about them. Some features we do want are: Computer compatability, VCR hookup, Zoom lense and buttons large enough for my fat hands to be able to use once in awhile. Salesman at a camera shop was showing me some Sony digital 8's. I also heard the JVC's were more dependable. What's hot out there? Thanks in advance.

From the research that I did, Sonys are top of the line in video cameras. I have heard that Sony has some of the best optics in the business. Sony also has the shortest and worst warranty of any product that I have ever seen. On video cameras, I think it is something like 90 days. If you get a Sony, buy an extended warranty. One little plastic piece breaking inside the camera can cost over $300. 00 to repair. The part might cost . 10C, but the time and labor to take the camera apart is horrific. I just bought a sony camera, and I also bought the warranty, so if anything breaks, I get it repaired free for the next 4 years. I got mine from Best Buy.

Thanks for the warrenty advice. I don't care for Best Buy. I think we will buy from a well established local shop. May cost a few bucks more but this is one item where it may be worth the extra.

I've got a JVC video/still digital. I love it. I got the extended warr. and used it once 2 years after purchase when a knob blew off. It took weeks to get the repair done, but more important than that they did it correctly.
