Old friend went gay

The Legend of Mick Dodge

My good friend is a pilot over in Iraq right now and has some silly money to burn, (he would thank you as his misadventures are our tax dollars that fund these purchases). He found this on EBAY and it arrived today at the house, (he didn't want it just sitting and asked me to make sure it works :) ). Don't want to say it is daunting, but I am just starting to feel comfortable on my single stage RCBS. As I will have it for a year, I plan on getting the dies and plate for .45acp and possibly .223.

Mainly looking for tips or tricks to using this beast. Thanks in advance!

waste some time on Youtube looking at how to videos. 95% of the deal is proper set up, after that crank and go, just keep an eye on supplies. The manual has very detailed instructions on use. If he doesn't have it you should be able to download it off dillon's website. I believe the 1050 is a seven station, and I know it has a built in swager. If you don't need it remove it. There is some inherent powder jump from cases when the pate indexes, but if you put some pressure on the plate before it indexes it wont jump into place and you can eliminate powder spill. MAKE SURE IT STAYS CLEAN OR IT MAY BITE.

Appreciate the advice. I did download the manual and have gone through it.

Are we talking clean it thoroughly every 1000? Just looking for a bench mark.
