Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Well, for the second time, and I say that out of frustration, my headlight switch began to give the "I'm melting" smell. It's been coming for a while, and when I pulled off the panel, some of the wires were burned about 4" up from the melted pigtail. . My fix? I cut each wire individually, past the bad spots, put a female connectors on all the wires, got a new dimmer switch (After being stranded on the side of the road when old one would not turn on), and connected each terminal individually. . I am kind of curious if I use a fusible link, if it will prevent the wires from possibly melting, burning up, and catching on fire. Is there a recall on these switches??
