I own a 2006. When I cold start my engine and some times after I have the engine warmed up for a long period of time, my lights dim. I'm not sure if this is the intake heaters falt (it stilling too much voltage). Does anyone else have this problem and is thier a solution?

Your lights will dim when the grid heaters cycle on. Perfectly normal.

Also the heaters will continue to cycle untill you get to about 20 mph if you dont let it warm up--if you just crank it and take off.

According to the TDR magazine this is normal. Mine does it too. Really worried me until I read it is the grid heaters cycling.

Don't know about the new ones but they should quit cycling after 20mph. They will start again even after you reach operating temps if it's less than 57 degrees and you restart the engine.

Thanks i was starting to wonder about mine. I noticed that the other day and was wondering about it. I have to say since i recently joined here i love it there is so much info and knowledge on here.

Same with mine, perfectly normal I was told. Had me thinking something was wrong also when I first noticed.

Interesting. I've seen mine cycle well after the engine is warmed up (the last time I was coming to a stop after a 200+ mile stretch). I only noticed the cycling when the transmission was in Park.
