Couple months ago on the way home, my seat belt buzzer sounded off a few times while underway. I had my seat belt on. Pulled the belt out and let it back in a few times and the sound went away. Next day the sound would not turn off. I tried a bunch of things and finally just pulled the fuse out.
Well, pulling the fuse out disables the overhead also. Grrrr.
Finally I pulled the plastic cover off the panel behind the driver's seat to expose the seatbelt mechanism. There's a plastic connector there, that I removed, and then jumped the wires. Re-installed the missing fuse, and then turned the key. Buzzzzzz. Removed jumper and with connector disconnected, no buzz. Look up at the overhead and it's working again! Cool.
No more pesky Seat Belt Buzzer going off even when I have the seat belt on, which I always put on anyway.
Easy fix for an annoying problem.
