They look great Wayne. Did you use the washers under the steering column mount trick to get better vision of your stock gauges? How is your view of the other gauges? Anything you can't see? Who's gauge mount did you use?

Thanks.

Blake

Blake,

I did use some washers under the mountung bolts of the steering column. The view is OK, but I do have to look around them to see the mileage and the "cruise on" light. No big deal!

Looks Good!!!

Wayne , the gauges look good in that position on the steering column. . It's starting to look like a 747 cockpit. :D

Steve

Wayne, is the gauge mount the one from Geno's or Diesel Dynamics? Maybe they're the same, but Geno's is $20 cheaper. I was reluctant to get the DiProcal gauges as they are made in India, but I just looked at my Isspro gauge and it's made there too. Well, I wonder where Autometers are made? I just hate that we can not make this stuff here. We'd rather pay welfare to the unskilled labor that can't find jobs here.

Anyway... I like the look of the DiProcals. Does Geno's have the latest ones?

I bought the gauges, as well as the mount from Ken Jones, "Diesel Performance" in Ogden,Ut. I think some of you know him.

I understand Diprocal is going to be offering another version of the Pyrometer, but it will require an electrical connection inorder for it to function. The current one does not need to be connected to electrical power, only the probe.

Steve, a 747 cockpit looks nice! Did you ever see one?

I guess I can understand that mechanical gauges are nice but what's the big hang-up with electrical gauges? I mean your realy only going to be using them with truck running right?

I had an Autometer electrical fuel pressure gauge on '96 1500 and it worked great and was very accurate. It's alot easier to run electrical gauges also, besides I don't like the idea of running fluid into the cab unnecesarily.

Are they the same?

I'm getting ready to order some gauges and a column mount. Geno's seems to have the best deal on the mount and their price on Di-Pricol gauges is not bad. But I want to know if theirs are the best ones.

Geno's Boost gauge

Geno's EGT gauge

I don't see their column mount on their site, but it's listed in their catalog for $35.

Thanks.

I am glad to hear they plan to do this. I'd much rather have an auxiliary control box than to look at the large disk covering the d'Arsenval movement. di Pricol is definitely the gauge I plan to go with on this truck!!

I will probably get mine from Diesel Power Products here in Pasco.

Wayne:

Do you have a telephone number for Ken Jones, "Diesel Performance" in Ogden, UT?

Does the mount replace the original plastic on the steering column or just attach to it?

The gauges sold by Geno's are the old style. I like yours much better.

Glen

I talked to Ken Jones, "Diesel Performance" in Ogden, UT. and ordered my gauges. He said the webpage that "Muddymess" listed is no longer active. He no longer does business with the ISP but doesn't know how to remove the old site from the WWEB.

Glen, do they have a new address or just none? How much are the gauges from them? Do they have the column pods?

Thanks.
