I bought a full set of Diprocol gauges thinking the higher price might give me the better product.

Right after I installed them I have had nothing but problems, the trans temp in particular. A friend of mine has since been having issues with his, having sent one back twice. Mine will sometimes just shoot up to full temp and stay there. Today it would not come off zero. I have been able to get it working again by checking connections but it always screws up again. I don't even trust the readings anymore. The sendor is in a fitting on the cooler line which is all metal, connected to the trans.

Now I see Genos doesn't even carry them anymore.

Anybody else have similar experiences?

My first set of gauges were DiPricols, problems right from the start, so I returned them to where I bought them under warranty, got a refund, never looked back. I went to ISSPRO EV2's - GREAT gauges, no problems.

Just found out DieselManor doesn't carry them anymore either. That's where I bought them. They told me to add a ground wire to chassis from the sendor. Supposedly helps reduce noise. I'll try that.

I've got 10 of them, and they've been good. I initially tied the illumination ground together with the signal ground, and that gave me all kinds of problems. These two grounds need to be separated, and not tied in to any other ground circuit on the truck (i. e. radio, lights, cig lighter, etc). I don't understand why this made a difference, but it did.

Over 5 years, a couple of the clear lenses have started to fog just slightly. I don't have a garage for my truck, so it sits out all day, everyday.

The gauges have been spot on. Once every 6 months or so, the EGT will decide to jump a couple hundred degrees hotter... I just cycle the ignition driving down the road, and it goes back to normal.

In my opinion, they're the best matching gauge there is.

I used to sell these also,but not any more,more trouble than their worth,Isspro EV`s or Autometer. should do the job w/o being a P I T A.

I believe I read somewhere that DiPricol has been having financial trouble, and some retailers could not get the gauges. Something else to consider.
