Has anyone installed these? How do they look? Any feedback with pics would be great. If anyone out there has the white faced ones with a pic at night would be ideal. I had the Isspro's in the 05 (optix werent out then) and loved them. But now I see these new Optix and just want to see if they are better than the Isspros. Thanks in advance!

I have the Optics and love 'em, but mine are the black face so I cant give you a pic. They come with a dimmer on the wire harness so you can match you dash lights, I wired mine to adjust with the dash dimmer switch.

I just installed them in my '03 but I don't have any pics. I have the trans temp, pyro, and boost gauges mounted on the pillar. They work great. I currently have mine wired to the dimmer wire because they didn't come with the individual dimmers. However, our truck's dimmer switch is not fine enough to cut the light down to where it should be to match the factory gauges. Also, the trans temp gauge lighting is not consistent (it's dimmer and has a slightly purple glow) with the others, and I know of another member that saw the same thing. I ordered the harness that includes the individual dimmers and it just arrived yesterday so hopefully I'll get them installed this week.

All in all, they're excellent. They look nice and work very smoothly. Definitely worth the investment. The only complaint is that you have to pay $63 for the harness that has the individual dimmers in order to get the lighting right. The dimmers should be included with the gauges.

How much white light leaks around where the needle is on the gauge? I had a set of Isspro's before and some leaked out around where the needle is, but not that much. I saw a set of older Diprocol's and TONS of white light bled through, which looks very sloppy in my opinion.

Hi JRD,

The new Optix are muce improved from the older DiPricols. They do have a certain amount of white light (called a halo) but it's minimal. we have some very good pictures on our site and if you have any questions give us a shout.

Mr. C

Do they match up with the factory gauges. Color wise, Day and night?

Thanks

The color is very close on my 99 they blend well at night and durring the day :D

My fault,

I didn't read your sig and see that you had a 2001. The Black Dial/Black Bezel/Red pointer Optix do match closely as mentioned above. If you have any questions don't hessitate to give us a push.

Thanks,

I've got a question related to these new(er) Optix gauges and how they match. Do they match well with the older style DiPricol gauges? How about the illumination? The older gauges have incandecent bulbs and I understand these new ones have LED lighting. My fuel pressure gauge is on the fritz and I'd like to get something that matches my other 3 DiPricol gauges as close as possible. Maybe I could use the bulbs and wiring from the old gauge in one of the new Optix and not need the LEDs? I have the black face gauges.

Thanks

1- the new gauges will be brighter than the old

2-you can't swap the bulbs from 1 to the other

I have the egt old style and the boost is Optix, very noticable difference. Sorry, I just noticed you have the black gauges, mine are white!

installed three sets--1st. set went perfect 2nd and 3rd sets something went haywire with the pyros. too much headache - took them out and replaced with A/M Colbalt just my bad experience

Optix gauge report

My original style Di-Pricol fuel pressure gauge died and I replaced it with a new Optix. Great upgrade. Now I want a new boost gauge and new pyrometer to match.

By the way, my original gauge read 0-60 psi and had a 90 degree arc. The new gauge reads 0-35 psi and has a 270 degree arc, making it much more precise.

My original gauges are virtually impossible to read at night because the needle is not illuminated. The new Optix gauge is a perfect match for the factory, black-faced gauges in my 2000 truck. The illumination is also as good as the factory gauges.

I’m adding the other two gauges to my Christmas list.
