I just had to replace the "stick" (they now call it "oil level indicator" :-laf ). At my local dealer. Friend in the parts house lowered the price from $60 to $48. :--) I laid over the engine and ended up breaking the plastic handle. Fishing it out of the engine was NO fun. In involved removing the starter, pulling the plastic housing off the nipple and pushing the steel "dip stick" back out. I invented a few new words during that :{ I don't want to do that again so I bit the bullet and got a new one. Plastic gets brittle as it gets old and hot. Just food for thought.
