Hi All,

Quick note to let you know how my "home remedy" for reducing road noise and vibration is working.

IT'S GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I removed the back seat and quarter panels AND each door panel.

I then used construction adheisive (caulk gun) to glue about 10" wide strips of pink carpet padding (approx. 1/2" thick and it's sealed-cell to repel water NOT sponge it) to all outer metal surfaces - stacked on top of each other going left to right, but not overlapping.

Next was spraying the pad and any remaining exposed metal surface with Rubberized Undercoating. This will keep moisture off of the padding and add more dampning.

Results are fantastic!!! Significant reduction in vibration, road noise (and possibly heat as well ??- once the air cond. has cooled everything down inside the cab).

Best of all, I got the padding scraps from a dumpster behind the carpet store, glue cost about $10 (5 tubes), and the Rubberized Undercoating (4 cans) cost around $12.

The tar smell from the undercoating was mild and went away after about 2 weeks.

$25 total cost for a very solid, quiet ride. :)
