Disable Ar Bag on 4.5 Quad Cab ?

Just had quadruple heard bypass done so I can't drive for 2 months. Does anyone know if the passenger side air bag can be diabled temp? Doc said not to ride in seat with an airbag. It's bad enough letting my wife drive me around for 2 months in my own truck... . but doing it from the back seat really sucks!!

There was a post a while back about someone buying the key switch that comes with the standard cabs, installing it and then having the dealership turn it on with the DRBIII. It is possible but I couldn't find the post, maybe the guy that did it will chime in on how exactly it's done. Hope this helps, and good luck on a speedy and full recovery.

Adding the switch is real easy. Took me about 10 minutes to install the switch. And as I was already at the dealer having the fuel mileage TSB done, I had them enable the switch at the same time, which needs to be done. You also need to get a waiver from NHTSA for the install.
