Disabling passenger airbags on 1994 Ram

I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel pickup. I will soon have a grandchild that will ride in the passenger seat. Does this model have passenger airbags? If so, how can I disable the airbag?

Double check your belt retractor is in great working order.

We had an single vehicle accident with a volunteer program box truck, was mid 1990's this was back in May and the belt retractor was not operational. Driver had injuries, we feel if the belt retractor was operational would have lessened the injury.

Most of us just jump in and and assume things are good.

Big Papa, are you sure on the no air bag? I don't want to hurt the little one. Someone told me there are airbags at your knees.

It will be labeled if there is one, but I believe the passenger airbag came around in 98.

If you can get the option list it will show it. Otherwise post the last 8 of the VIN and we can verify.

If your truck has the large cubby hole above the glove box, there is no air bag. As John said, the PS airbag and the switch to turn it off came with the interior remodel in '98.
