I have tried several times to disable the seatbelt alarm, by following the instructions in the manual, Has anyone else had thiis problem? I am pretty sure that i am completing the cycle within the one minute time period.

I tried several times. The one that worked was to make sure your seat belt is fastened. Then START the truck. It wouldnt work for me if I just turned on the ignition. Then cycle the seat belt. Then turn off the truck, but leave the ignition on (if that makes sense). You should hear one chime. That will let you know it is done.

Also, the buckle & unbuckle 3 times has to happen within 10 seconds. I discovered I couldn't do it while I was sitting in the driver's seat, so I did it standing beside the truck and leaning over the seat.

Just did it last night.

Or another novel idea, you shouldn't speed, it's against the law, or don't eat fast food, you eventually die. Don't drink beer, that's bad for you too.

As far as I'm concerned, the folks that don't wear their seatbelts are of no danger to me, so if you don't feel like wearing, don't wear them, it doesn't bother me.

It will likely save your life one day and it is the law most states.

If all else fails take it to the dealer and have them do it. I had problems on my 03 trying to disarm the door locks. I finally gave up and let them do it. Took them about 5 mins. And if you got a good dealer they don't charge you anything. I did not have any problems on my 04 disarming all those idiot alarms. And I do wear my seat belt all the time. Learned the hard way to where it no matter what the distance is.

I wiped out the key in/door open chime and I don't think I have anything but a red light for seat belt. I wear mine, but not until I'm actually rolling usually.

I've stopped the seat belt chime and the automatic locks at Xmph, but I can't stop the horn honk when the doors lock or get all doors to unlock with one push of the button. For some reason those won't take.

I've got news for you... I've been wearing seat belts since LONG before there were any laws requiring it.

Did it ever occur to you that some of us may also operate our vehicles in other places, such as farms? It's damned inconvenient to have to buckle and unbuckle when you're getting in and out of the truck every few minutes and the only hazard around is a few head of cattle.

Try to broaden that narrow mind.
