disconnecting low fuel chime?

Fuel sending unit acting up,it goes on and off, you all know what I mean. Anyways do not have time to fix in the next couple of weeks and would like to know how to disconnect the chime or do I disconnect the whole unit. If so where is the easest place to do so? Thanks

Mine was the same chime that indicates your headlights are still on after the engine is turned off and the door is opened, or the key in ignition with the door open, it's under the driver's dash.



Found it and just unplugged the chime.



No biggie. The light in the dash still works for low fuel, been this way for 3. 5 years. Door chime has been out for 5. 5 and my truck is a 96.
