Anybody ever have a problem with your satellite signal getting stuck? Much like putting a VCR on pause, mine started doing this but starts going again if I change the channel. Is my receiver getting ready to go?
illflem,do you have a hot card?or if youve used one in the past and they zapped it,it could also be affecting your other card also,it happened on my setup in the past. lightfoot
Bill, sometimes mine will do that if the weather is bad or a snow storm comeing in, it can block the signal between your set and the sat. and it just kinda hangs it up.
Bill, we get that sometimes when its snowing too, I think its blocking the signal, if yours is doing it when not snowing than maybe its nor quite pointed right ??? just a thought
I will take my primestar back any day... ... ... . Kevin
Mine hangs too every once in a while... but a little different than yours. When I get flipping between channels-let's say from 140-146 just using the arrow key (OK so I'm lazy-but I like to see what's on all the ESPN stuff) sometimes it'll hang at-oh let's say 144 for discussion's sake. Freezes there for a few seconds on a black screen with the display header at the top-no response to the remote. After the few seconds the channel will come up and you can watch or switch. No biggie-figuring it's probably something to do with old technology-my receiver's gotta be coming up 5 years old now (3500 series I believe).
Oh yeah don't tell the CRTC I've got a gray market US dish... . or I'll get thrown in prison with drug dealers and rapists. All for wanting TV outside their boundaries-yeah I pay for it fair and square-no pirate cards here-but thinking outside the box is strictly frowned upon here in Kanada.

Honest Echostar, I do live in Lake Havasu Arizona!
Every once in a while, my screen goes black, for 2 or 3 seconds, then it comes back. I figured the tv was bad, but I was having coffee with a couple of neighbors, I mentioned it to them and they said they were having the same problem.
