i haven't seen too many people making these things themselves so i thought i'd post up a few pix... i am sure there are many out there who do this but i didn't see it

as you can see, i didn't get too fancy... i wish i could have made it look better but i can't seem to find the time right now. guess that's why they invented "later", huh?

on the bottom ledge that gets secured between the seat and floor mounting system needs to be about 3" deep. i guessed how deep to make the notches to slide the bolts into. what i did was drill a hole about . 75" in at each end of the bracket and then took the cutting wheel to finish out the slot on both sides.
i guess i should mention that i started out with 1. 5" angle and 1. 5" strap, both about 14 gauge. started out with Two pieces of 1. 5" angle welded together. looked like a "W" from the side / cross section...

it took me a couple of tries to get it right with the bends but it lined up perfectly. the drivers side still has about 4" exposed for access to the sacred snack chamber lever. yup, everything clears perfectly.

btw: this works on any c. b. except cobra hehehe!
one thing i didn't do that i wanted to was weld my own bracket for the c. b. bracket itself. i used the one that came with it. it bothers me that i did not do this but... . like i said above... that's why they invented "later".
