DIY "Torque Tube" ??

Is there any reason you couldn't order a mandrel bent piece of stainless tubing with two bends of the right dimensions to use as a "Torque Tube" for the AFE filter housing?

I dont see why not, just have some hose or some way to hook the SS to the filter and turbo. My K&N system came with a replacement tube to get rid of the stock connector tube.
