Daimler Chrysler Stinks!!!

Stepmom is lookin at getting a new motorhome with the dmax in it. I was lookin at the 5500 series 34'er and I dont see how it could get out of its own way in stock form, which is how it would be left. I am not talking about flat ground or downhill either. Am I wrong?

Its nothing against the dmax or anything. Its been made clear what they are capable of, and if Juice gets his tuned and able to put power to the ground affectively it will be something else.

I've never seen a D-max powered Motorhome. IS there one available?

Dunno about the Dmax in a GM, but any decent modern diesel has GOT to be better than the currently available gas engines! My brother-in-laws new Ford-based V10 Winnie 27 foot MH with auto transmission barely gets out of its own way, and you can't hear wind or road noise over the sound of all the gasoline it is slurping up - what a PIG!

I am not sure exactly which model but I do remember hearing endura, so I am thinking that is it. I went to the auto trader and did a search in the rv section and did nothing more than type in Duramax. That is where i seen them and there was a good number of them and SPENDY!!! For the 2005's.

She has a newish ford v-10 now. She uses it for dog shows and what not.

I just remember reading somewhere, read way too much of this diesel stuff, that the guys using the 4500 and 5500 to haul cars were far from happy with what they were getting out of their rigs. I figured a loaded motor home would be in the same boat. Doesnt seem to be much of an option at that size rv though. oh well I was just sitting at work wondering.
