I'm spending way too much time on this,but does anyone really have a set of these tires? Toyos 285-70-17 Open Country AT 10 ply with an "E" loading rating, 3750 lb's? Can you send me a photo of the sidewall with the load rating and size shown? I need to convivce the tire dealer in town that they exist ,Les Schwab says they do. My OEM Goodriches are pealing .

Dunno, but a call to Toyo might shed some light:

West Coast: 800-442-8696 (8:00am to 4:45pm PST)

East Coast: 888-444-8696 (8:00am to 4:45pm EST)

The demand for these larger tires ,high lb , large dia. wheel caught all the tire manufacturers off guard. I am having a heck of a time trying to find tires for 18" wheels. Seems to me that the larger tire retailers have 1st dibbs on tires and the smaller guy gets the sloppy seconds. Good luck with your search.

Les Schwab

Les Schwab is the biggest dealer in SoCal and bogarts every Toyo they can. This size in "E" rating hopefully will become plentiful with the USA plant now operational.

Baja Bob,

The closest Les Schwab I found entering in My zip (no. San Diego County)

was in central cal.

I live in Orange County (So Cal) and work in Los Angeles county. Outside of this web site, I've never heard of Les Schwab. Some of the local biggies here are Discount Tire, Just Tires, and America's Tire (who tells me they can get this Toyo :) ).

Don,you're correct on locations of Les Schwab. Express Tire here in San Diego told me that they are the biggest distributor in SoCal but they get the leftovers when it comes to offroad tires in 17+ size. :{

Hi, I can't afford them, Les S. wanted $950+ and to ship the Toyos to Iowa would have cost $200+ then to mount and balance them... . Mo' money. The heck with it, I'll put a couple of new Goodriches on the front to replace the peelers and call it good.

Les Shwab in Sunnyside, WA (509)837-2002 has toyos coming out their ears. My dad is meeting me in Sioux Falls, SD in a week with my 35x17x1250's.

If they can help you out I might be able to talk my dad into picking them up for you. If your in IA we might be able to meet and get your tires

I hope you can read these pics, I took them with my phone.

Looks like E's to me, thanks, but I put two new Goodriches on the front to replace the sidewall peelers. I could'nt see spending $1300+ for shipping ,installing and buying new Toyo's . If my dealer could have got them I would have bought them. :confused:

I have this exact tire on my truck now and I got them from Les Schwab. I can send you pictures of the side wall if you want. There is pictures of them in my "readers rig" but not close up enough to read the details.
