As if they didn't have enough problems... . My brother has a 2004 6. 0 and has a lot of trouble with water in his fuel. We get our fuel from the same station most of the time. I've never had any water problems. Never drained any out of my filter. I change my filter about once a year and if I shake it hard ,I'll see a teaspoon or so of water come out... . He had trouble with his light staying on even after draining all the water out... . Brought it to Ford and they politely told him he had to pay to get the tank cleaned(500 bucks) or else his engine warranty was void. He had the tank cleaned and he is still catching water. The light does go out at least when he drains it... Anyway I just was curious why he has problems and I don't?Does running short trips cause more condesation problems? Thats about the only thing I could think of. His wife uses it on a lot of short trips... . I don't crank mine up unless its getting on a highway and going somewhere ;)

I will get water in the fuel through the vent line(I am about 90% sure that is where it gets in) under very heavy rainy conditions. Where truck is throwing water waves up , ie going 30-40 in foot of water.

If it has been dry maybe where he parks his truck he is getting excess moisture does he park near a moisture source like a dryer in the garage, hot tub, or where truck gets sprinkler spraying on it?

my dad's 03 6. 0 powerjoke had a problem with the water in fuel light coming on at random times and it might stay on for a second or for days. Make Ford replace the sensor and that should fix it ; or it did his anyways.
