1% gasoline added to diesel to prevent gelling?

Tach Redline???

obviously they are required to meet federal standards from the OEM, but once they're tagged as a govt vehicle, they are exempt from emissions testing. why would they tax themselves?!

Here in Cali all gov/police vehicles are required to be smog tested like any other car. Our city mechanic's have thier own test equipment, but still they ship them out to some shop and pay top dollar.

No emissions related changes are allowed (Exhaust, proggramer, filter/intake) iI know a guy who caught some heat for changing the exhaust and some other bolt on stuff on his assigned police car.

If I remember correctly from my time at Ft. Lewis WA, the inter-agency motorpool vehicles had to be tested.

The tactical vehicles did not, kinda hard to test an Abrams 60 ton tank

That would be fun to see an Abrams up on the dyno getting it breath tested.

assumed that the lack of window sticker meant lack of smog testing. I stand corrected

Yes CT for one no longer requires a window sticker as proof of emissions testing. We are supposed to keep the report in our glove compartment:rolleyes:
