Ok guys, you are the experts, most of you have done this multiple times, so I need to get your advice.

I am ready to install my Edge EZ today. I have installed my DiPricol EGT and boost gauges and they are working fine. Now, here is the question. Do I have to disconnect the battery(s) before installing the EZ? On my 96 Chev gasser (454) I had to disconnect the battery any time I wanted to add some electronics (or so I was instructed by the Chevy people) so the computer wouldn't freak out.

Sooooo, is this the case with my CTD?

Any help would be appreciated as I am standing on one foot then the other waiting to get it installed!!

Thanks a bunch. . .

No. . just make sure the truck is all the way off with the key out. You'll be fine without disconnecting the battery. You are going to love the extra power. :D:D

Nope just uplug the two connectors and then plug them into the ez and then plug the pigtails back in... should take about 30 seconds to do. Well maybe a minute since its your first time. ;)

Have fun and enjoy the new power!!

Hey now, you are not a goober! Goobers don't drive a Cummins equipped truck.

Well I have not met one yet.

Enjoy your new found power!

:D :D Oh on the contrary, she thinks this is the greatest truck we have owned in the 16 years we have been married! I told her, "Not every choice I have made in the last 16 years was bad. I did marry YOU!!!"

She is a sweetheart and my very best friend!! She tells me "goober" is one of those terms of endearment!!

But she does LOVE that CTD truck!!!

  :D

There is hope for her yet.

16 years that's great! We are on 19 now and get along very well, but that will come to a screeching halt if she calls me goober.

No offense intended to any one named Goober.
