Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Do I have a leak?

Crawled under the truck during routine maint. to check around and found quite a bit of "splash back" (from blowing oil) coming out of the tail shaft (rear) of the Tcase. Also had a little "fresh" oil on the driveline itself. Truck hasn't been driven in a couple days but the leak seemed fresh.



74K miles and haven't changed the Tcase fluid.



What should I look for?

Mine has been doing that for quite some time. But every time I check the t-case fluid, it's just right. It's more of a nuiscance than anything else. I wouldn't really worry about it unless it gets excessive.

I would also check and see if there is any leakage between the T-case and the Trans itself. The seals between the two are a common problem.
