I just bought a '95 2500 2WD with 52k on it and when you open the hood you can smell fuel. Its not an overpowring smell but its there. Is this normal?? The dealer told me when i bought it that they had fixed a fuel leak before i bought it. There was also a puddle of diesel fuel under the truck after i brought it back from a test drive... . i noticed it after about 5-10 minutes after shutting it down. Is that normal? Should i have them go back and check whatever they fixed in the fuel system? It would still be under warante. Thanks for the help in adv.

The guy at the dealer said there was some hose that acts as a drain for fuel after shutdown... ??? Guess not. Damn... back to the dealer:mad:

Not normal. Dont panic, it's probibally the fuel return hose.

It's not a big deal to do, but I'd have him do it. There is a special spec hose to use, I'm thinking it's something like "30Jr7" ??

Welcome aboard, good luck with the new truck. 50K is low mileage!!
