installed the bd performance #10 fuel plate. No complaints about performance, like driving a different truck. Hits governor at 2600 rpm, do I need a 3k GSK kit? Thanks for the suggestions in advance.

A 3k kit will open your range of power quite a bit. Mine was pretty much spent at 2100. Now it pulls hard right to about 3k. I think it almost changes the truck as much as the plate.

PLATE + GSK = :D Oo. :D Oo.

You really shouldn't need them as it will take a lot of effort with just a #10 to get much past 3000-3200. If you think you might need them in the future because of power mods(Go ahead and say it, you are:D ) then go ahead and spring for(no pun intended) the 4k kit with the HD springs. Better to only buy one upgrade than to buy another one later.

Because you know you are only going to be happy at that level for a little while. We have seen it before... soon your truck will feel slow and it'll be time for more fuelOo.

I second all of the above, except for the part about getting the #10 to the 3,000-3,200 mark.  :-laf

I too wish now that I had gotten the 4K kit, but I'd be in more trouble than I already am with my current BOMB's! :-laf :-laf :-laf

Feel like I'm not worthy here w/just a #6 plate... however is there any advantage to the additional RPM's with my truck's mods? Or does the #6 still not provide enough fuel for the additional RPM's?

Everyone is worthy! Everyone needs at least a 3K GSK. After you have a plate, a GSK is one of the best BOMBs for a 12V.

Oh yeah, just an opinion. Doing 60# exhaust springs only is good if you are using an exhaust brake and want the extra back pressure. If you are concerned with valve float from over revving with your new GSK, do both the intake and exhaust. Like mentioned above, if yer in there and gonna do it, do it once and do the intake too.

even if you only add a plate, or the stock plate forward, the gsk really takes advantage of that extra fuel. if the motor isn't getting anymore fuel-stock- then the gsk wont help much for acceleration. however, you can wind the motor out to pull the hills way better.

stock, uphill with a small trailer my truck would only do 58-62mph. now i can pull a hill at 68mph locked in 3rd (not to the floor) at around 2800rpms or some at 75mph unlocked in 4th (too much fluid coupling heat though so i rarely do that).

GSK? definately!

Has anyone seen or have any personal experience with dyno results from the 3K kit? Like the dyno sheets TST posts on it's website. .

Reason I ask is that assuming the fuel flow can keep up and torque doesn't fall off too fast, we technically make more horsepower when we rev the motor faster...

... Horsepower being a function of torque and rpm. ... But there is a point where torque would fall off so fast that all the extra revs in the world won't help w/the ponies. I'm sure we're not there yet w/just the 3K kit... just curious of the particulars.

When BD installed the #8 plate (230 HP/605 TQ) I had 215 injectors and dynoed 250 HP at 2400 rpm. A year later I had opened up the exhaust, installed a MHAF, and installed the 3k GSK. I dynoed 294 HP at 2550 rpm (DD 2002 MM).

These are with two different dynos. I guessed that about 35 HP came from the GSK.
