My factory lift pump went out and the in tank pump was installed on my 2004. 5. I have since installed a FASS 95/95 with the 3/8" fuel line going directly to the CP3, by-passing the factory filter canister. I want to run the fuel line from the FASS into the factory fuel canister and then to the injection pump. The guys at Glacier Diesel told me that I would need their fuel filter adapter. When I looked at where the fuel line goes into the stock canister, it looks like a banjo fitting, just like the one where the fuel line comes out. Do I need the adapter or will a banjo/push lock fitting work here?

You need the Adapter. . Its a O-ring fitting and the Adapter uses 2 bolts to attach to the canister,Good idea to Put the Factory canister into use. I would NEVER recommend to run without it. Remember to keep your pressure below 15 psi or you will pop the O-ring on the Canister lid.

Thanks for the info. I think the FASS 95 runs about 15 or 16 psi. Should be OK? I don't think it is adjustable is it? I don't have a fuel pressure guage. Am ordering one with the adapter and fittings from Glacier. I did install the low fuel pressure light with the FASS. When I start the truck on cold mornings and it is still at a low idle, the light flickers on and off. If I speed up the engine a little, it goes out. Is this because the grid heater draws so much power or do you think something else is going on? Thought maybe it was a dirty filter but it does it with new filters too.

I really couldn't say ,But My guess is if it go's away it should be good. . A gage is the solution,I would install the gage at the Pump with the Fitting Geno's has But remember the CP3 has some ability to pull so and pressure above 5psi at the inlet is good ,in fact 5-10 psi for every Day use is our Target.
