Do Valves make more noise in dry desert heat than they would say in like California. Mine have been louder easing in the throttle at low RPM's like taking of from stop lights and stuff. Any worry's? I do have 90,000 miles

I know that this sounds silly, but I have been hearing the same thing that you are describing in mine. I only have 46K on it and have been thinking about checking valve adjustment just to set my mind at ease.

I know Valve Adjustments are a forbidden subject, many feel it is a waste of money and time. But after my last valve adjustment, not only did my truck seem a little more perky, but it was noticeably quieter. Kind of reminds me of the old Volkswagens, with there air cooled engines, they needed valve adjustments like most change there oil. They would get very loud and loose power when out of adjustment. Thou not as frequent or as dramatic, the Cummins responds well to valve adjustment also.
