I just used my last fuel filters on my 21 2500 ctd (mopar) and need to restock. I see filters from Docs Diesel, and wondering if they will work as good as OEM
Genos doesn't have the frame mounted filter for my 21 . Back ordered.Go to Geno's and order a set, still can get 10% off this month if you order them separately and they are a little bit cheaper than the quick service kits. I ordered 2 sets, one for my annual in Sept, and one set to keep on the shelf
I just used my last 2 mopar filters. Can't find the moparNo matter stick with
I should have planned better. I have 9700 mi on my truck and just used the fuel filters I had. We have a long trip beginning Friday pulling our 5th wheel from East TN to Eureka, CA and back. I figured between here and there I will be forced to use some type of biodiesel. The filters were at 35% so I changed them. I'm sure I'll be OK, but it would have been nice to have a spare set. No worries. I'll be there for at least a month, so I'm confident I'll find some out there.A few weeks ago I needed fuel filters for my 22 and had one heck of a hard time finding anyone who had them in stock. Genos was backordered for another month which was after they were already backordered previously but extended the date looks like they did it again now sometime in late August. My other go to place dieselfiltersonline.com was also out of stock I must have checked 30 places and was really starting to sweat them. A few days later I checked again and dieselfilters.com had some in stock. and I got one Should have bought a few sets. I have a couple sets in my garage but we have been renovating our new to us house and previously sold our old house and we are currently living in the basement of our kids house. While I know I have 2 sets in there it would take half a day or more to find them as I know they are in the back of it as we emptied our garage first when we were going to sell our old house. You open the garage and you cant walk in since all our stuff is in there packed wall to wall, floor to ceiling. I have no idea where they are at the moment. Coupler more weeks and we can and start moving at least some stuff into the house. oops sorry for the digression there no one cares about my housing issues.
In any case Docs Diesel showed up all over the place during my searches. Just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on them without knowing more. The minimal specs on their website were not enough for me to order them. Previous to the searches for my filters in the last month or so I had never seen Docs Diesel come up before so figured they were new.
Thanks. My Daughter is having a baby on the 16th of Aug. Due to complications she has to have it in SF, which is 279 miles South of Eureka. Were going to bring them down for the delivery since we have a Crew cab. Don't think we'd all fit in her Little car. It's our 1st grandchild so we gotta go. Dang if I don't like the idea of driving in or through the bay area. Behind enemy lines at that!I drove from NC to ID (and back) nearly 7k miles and never had any issues with fuel nor was concerned about having filters and I did not carry and extra set, you'll be fine and have a year to get a new pair. Enjoy your trip.

Don't you pay double shipping with two separate orders?Go to Geno's and order a set, still can get 10% off this month if you order them separately and they are a little bit cheaper than the quick service kits. I ordered 2 sets, one for my annual in Sept, and one set to keep on the shelf
