Yeah I want to know more? anyone got anymore info on the Mitsubishi Diesel motor? I always thought Cummins was the first diesel for Dodge.

There have been posts from time to time about the little Mitsu motor. They were in the D-50 Ram and the Raider for a number of years. Do a search, and I think that you will find a good bit of reading. I, myself, dont know anything about them, beyond what I have read here.

I can't imagine that half ton had much power with that little four cylinder in it... thats a lot of iron to move around...

I had seen one at a CT DMV lot in Waterbury CT last year. I waited for the driver as long as I could, but then I had to go. Left him a TDR Xerox Membership from, never heard or seen it since. Moose00

Why would set a reserve for such an auction???

It'd be an interesting project just to see if you could get it running though.

Watch it now, thats the mighty Mitsubishi 243ci SIX cylinder normally aspirated 125HP machine your talking about there..... ;)

Well,Well!

They actually built more than one of them! I had seen one before, a 1976, I thought. Seller says 1 Year only? DK.

I think he means, and I think he's right, that it was only in 1978 that the D150 had the Mitsu, before that it was a D100 and after that only the smaller mitsu in the D50 pickup, until the Mighty CTD came along.

they made them in 78 in 150's and 200's 2&4 wheel drive. I rode in one yrs. ago, typical lethargic n/a diesel, my 78 1ton /6 flatbed I had would outrun it.
