My third visit by a Swiss camper in a year....!! I love it!!!

Electric/Hydraulic dump bed not lowering

Jayco makes a Seneca Super C using a Freightliner chassis, Cummins 6.7 and an Allison transmission. Prices start in the $175,000 range.

That isata5 is pretty neat. I wonder if there's enough room to get to the head with the forward slide all the way in (underway)?

I have a dually with a camper which is great for camping but is an inefficient use of space because the camper has to slide into the box. I thought someone would make a bolt-on camper; start with a C&C and add living space. So far, not much except EarthRoamer. Much of my camping is still off-road and forest service and primitive sites. I'd like a little more room than a camper but some 30' motorhome just isn't going to make it back to civilization from where I camp.

The original EarthRoamer was built on a Dodge chassis but all the current ones are Ford.

(It turns out some companies do make "flatbed campers" like this Northstar American Hero.)

Pirate4x4 has a thread on flatbed camper pictures.
