Dodge Advantage Purchase?

Does anyone have experience/knowledge of purchasing through one of the "Fleet Sales Dodge Advantage"? A friend of mine is about to purchase a 2002 2500 CTD Auto with everything except leather for $35,700 but the place is either in FL or NM and wants some $$ upfront, which is a resonable request but being out in Hawaii makes me a little nervous that we will get scammed. Anyways, thanks for any info.
