I always suspected that was what it was. In Missouri we called it "Arkansas Overdrive".

Those trucks were attending the National AHTS truck show held at the California Speedway. It took me two days to go through them completely great show



If I could post some there were some 5. 9's in smaller chassis

I'll see if I can put them in my photo album... ... ... .

That International on the 3rd picture page with the 13 speed, 3 speed brownie, and 2 speed rear was profiled in a 6 or 7 video set, which I purchased from the ATHS. In the profile he's driving it through some steep canyons in Arizona with it straightpiped - sure sounds sweet!



Also in the video set are 2 Dodge bighorns, old Macks (semi, chain drive dumptruck, fire truck, pickup), Brockways, etc. A lot of the trucks profiled were twin sticks - great watching the owners row through the gears. Another truck had a V12 detroit, and another truck had a huge gas Hall-Scott motor. Lots of old Cummins powering the profiled trucks.

That International made some sweet sounds running around the track too They let the entrants run the track if they wanted to and a lot of them took them up on it!
