I'm wondering how long we will have to wait to see the official pricing on the new 6. 7 pickup truck models??

I was just on www.dodge.com and the website seems to think you can order the old drive train. We know that's not right.

Any guess what a quad cab Laramie 6. 7 automatic dually will cost???

While supplies last

According to the Website, it lists the 6. 7 as being available in Jan '07 and the 5. 9 (old drive train) available while supplies last.

Exact quote:

‡ Cummins 5. 9L Turbo Diesel I-6

325 horsepower at 2,900 rpm

610 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm

‡ No longer produced after Dec. 2006 (available while supplies last)

§ Cummins 6. 7L Turbo Diesel I-6

350 horsepower at 3,000 rpm

650 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm (automatic)

610 lb-ft of torque at 1,400 rpm (manual)

§ Late availability Jan. 2007 (6. 7L replaces 5. 9L)

"Available while supplies last" can be interpreted many different ways. I wonder what the 1 Jan EPA regs apply to... the build date of the actual engine? The day the vin number is assigned to the truck chassis? Or the actual day the truck leaves the factory?

If they had a bunch of 5. 9s still laying around, what would they do with them if they couldn't be used in Dodge Ram trucks? Sell them back to Cummins? Got to do something with those extra motors (assuming they didn't run out).

Hummmm, I was on the Build & Price section and that does not show the new stuff or new pricing.

It seems real easy to get a quad cab over $45K if you load it up.

Thanks for the info, Y39
