Recent threads highlight the difficulty finding a good mechanic. Does the TDR have a listing of Dodge mechanics who have proven competent in the repair of the CTD? If not such a list would be a win win. It would increase the mechanic’s value to the dealership since he’d be increasing business because of customers going to the dealership specifically for his services and it would allow TDR members piece of mind that their truck is in good hands.
It would also be a win for Dodge, since as it stands now I plan to use Cummins for any engine work. If I knew of a Dodge mechanic in my area knowledgeable on the CTD, say like sag2, then I would consider taking it to him. I'm sure there are others who are like minded.
The details of how a mechanic will qualify to get on the list may be tricky, nominations from members? Having been trained specifically on the ISB in the Dodge application and so many years experience? A customer feedback system?
Will a dealership even allow a customer to request a specific mechanic and only that mechanic work on their truck?
Thoughts? Ideas?
