Dodge Cummins ECM

I Have a Spare ETC 2003 ECM, And would like to find some one who can reprogram it WBL Cummins could not do it {thanks to DC and thier infinite wisdom}, I would like to load the ETH program into it ,Or a test program, I like to experiment.

Any insite would be helpful and appreciate.

I tried to contact Marco a while ago and he seems to not be around? Well it appears he's posted on another forum so he's still around apparently.



I've been trying to find an ECM to play with myself but salvage places don't have them around here and I'm scared to think what DC would want for a new one!



I think Marco was interested in an "open source" type project as I am, but it's your ECM. How did you get it, btw?

I remove it off a burn down motor,That some stupid person only put in 5 Qts of oil in ,and the owner never check it until it started to knock,It burn down about 2000 miles after the change. The reason the owner knowns that it was only 5 Qts is after the problem He went and look at the invoice it SAID 5Qts of 5-30w. So I purchase it,The new motors coming complet. I don"t want to mention which quick change place service it.

i do believe that is one oil change shop that just bought a new Cummins engine..... Bet their insurance company loves them about now.

as long as the sump was picking up oil, there will be enough to get to the bearings to get some lube on them, but not enough for proper running. and i don't think the j-jets for the pistons would have enough flow to spray the underside of the piston well...

Yes!



The ETC/ETH files can be swapped. That's not a problem. It's already been done...



For those interested in the 600 engine. Here it's getting a little complicated.

In the trucks with the 600 engine the ECM controlls also the transmission. That was not for the previous engines. That translates into the fact that them guys with ETC/ETH files are stuck with their files and the 600 with theirs...



That's till I can get my hands onto a CR ECM and do some more R&D with it...

I found A 03 HO automatic ECM with only 2 miles on it coming it should be here Monday, It was removed from a freight Claim truck{I don"t know maybe it fell off the train} It had a factory flash # already on it,It was 1 of 2 I located in the whole US. I have to wait before I can release the other one thanks to DC again, The new ECM needs to be loaded through techconnect and star.

I would be VERY interested in a MAD style ECM for a CR motor. What kind of timeframe are you looking at to having something available Marco?
