Dodge Dealer Fuel Pump Relo. Kit

When doing the Dodge fuel pump relocation kit (p/n 68003869AA), Does the ECM need to be flashed immediately upon completion, or can the truck be driven before the reflash. . I skimmed over the instructions and I dont really see why the ECM needs to be reprogrammed. .

I believe it will start If I remeber correctly I started one after I put the kit in before I did the flash.
