MARK ROBERTS MOTORS

I can vouch for this dealer. They treated me great and did as they claim in thier advertizing. I hopped a Southwest Airlines to Tulsa, was met at airport and driven the 45 miles to the dealer in Bartlesville, OK. I do not trust dealers as most of them will try every scam and lie to try to get more of your money. I was worried as I did not have anything in writeing, only thier word and what they claim on thier web site, and they had my deposit. I could not want to be treated any better. Got my truck at invoice + $49. 50 Paperwork fee. Also got $2000. 00 total incentives. I also got a copy of the invoice and a very nice jacket free. Sales mgr. Cullen Downey and salesman John Page went way out to please me, even gave me the form to get the Jacobs E-brake if I want it. I am very satisfied with the deal I got and it is nice to find a dealer that does what they promise without any 'high pressure' at all. You can't go wrong with www.markroberts.com

;) :D

I love my new truck. Oo. The long wait seemed forever and the excuses from DC customer service was disgusting but it was worth the wait. Ordered 9/30/02 - Arrived at railhead in Tulsa on Sat. ,12/14 - Trucked to dealer Tues. ,12/17, - 11 weeks + 1 day total time. -- I flew from Nashville @ 6:20 am on 12/19 to pick it up, drove it the 675 miles back home.

I think most dealer are selling trucks at invoice. I just order 3500 duelly and they showed me the work sheet with the cost and the MSRP. They sold me the truck at there cost + any incentives that dodge offers. At this time its 1000 off + 400 jobber

I checked with 4 different Dodge dealers in middle Tenn. and southern Ky. before I went to Mark Roberts. Not one of them came close to invoice. One of them got p***ed off when I offered to buy from him if he would meet Mark Roberts price. They also insist on a $250. - $300. "prossesing fee". Guess that's why they are known as 'stealers'. :D

I guess it depends what state your from. I was looking last year and the dealers would not move. This year is a different game.

What is the "real" invoice?

I had a local dealer that advertises below invoice work up a quote for us. He provided MSRP and FWP (looks like invoice). The numbers mostly agree with the KBB, consumer reports and Mark Roberts except as follows. Anyone know what these are? Are numbers like these on the Mark Roberts invoice??

Discounts: - - - - - - - - - - - - - MSRP / FWP

YHB - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 0 / $13

YG9 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 0 / $3

3WL - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -$-500 / $-440

Funds:

YDH Customer one owner . . 0 / $20

A45 Phoenix Metro - PPA - - - - 0 / $160

T45 Phoenix - DAA - - - - - - - - 0 / $275

In Utah we get a regional discount of $500 ( I assume that is the 3WL??) and I will sign up for F/B to get another $500. I was told I could not combine the college grad discount with the F/B discount. We also own our own business and look for discounts there too.

Any help, ideas or suggestions regarding beating the stealer at his own game would be appreciated.

Look like Mark Roberts is the only dealer who doesn't double talk.

Does he give you good money for trades????

Thanks for your help.

Richard

I just ordered last Saturday. According to my dealer:

Code YHB and YG9 are for Dodge mailings after you have the truck.

The other codes YDH, B15, T15 ( the codes for NE Ohio ) are for advertising costs. those costs do very by region so they may be different for you.

Re: What is the "real" invoice?

Richard; The 3WL is the Regional Discount. It is $500. MSRP - $440 off Invoice Price. This is why I did not have my truck 'Drop Shipped' to a local dealer. Chrysler does not give this discount to Tenn. dealers and would not ship it here and allow this discount , plus I would have to pay the Tenn. dealer $250. drop ship fee. Total $440. invoice discount plus the $250. = $690. I went to Ok to pick it up and saved this amount, less the $125. air fare. There was 3 other charger on the invoice I had to pay.

A21 K. C. ZONE - PPA $160. 00

T21 K. C. Zone - DAA $255. 00

YDH Daimler/Chrysler Owner Loyalty Mail. $20. 00

(When I inquired about this YDH charge I was told that DC wants to send me mail/advertizing and is charging me for it)

Was told these are advertising fees imposed by DC to the dealer. They are shown on the Daimler/Chrysler invoice, and are part of the invoice price.

I do not know about any other codes you mentioned.

I know that Texas and some other states have other state charges plus manufacturer and dealer fees.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL... ... .....

Thanks, dtrevathan & CAKUZ

Thanks for the info. I will meet with a different dealership Thur to go through the same exercise... . Trying to get three dealerships to basically bid against each other, so I can get the best price possible. My goal is more than $500 below invoice before the discounts... Any more than that wouldbe great.

Thanks again, Richard
