Dodge fargo power wagon w300 1963 - convertion to diesel?

Hello
Im Norwegian so please excouse any wrong spelling.
I have purchased a fire truck. Due to the fuel prices I'm considering convert to a diesel enginge. The plan are to keep it as a firetruck but convert the inside for hunting and hiking.
I have never owned an old American car before and there are no real sources for diesel convertion in Norwegian. So where can I find a good source of information on diesel convertion of Dodge w300. Preferrably without changing gearbox.
If someone have a step by step guide, written or in video, i would be very greateful.

Very cool rig. I don't think you have the length in the engine bay for a cummins 6cyl. I will ask my brother he is a old dodge guy.
