That GM employee would be better served spending his time helping them design and build a better truck. I had an 03 Duramax/Allison LT that was a total POS. They bought it back under the lemon law because it was in to dealers 8 times in the first 6 months for transfer case problems that they never could fix. Left me stranded time and time again pulling loads (try getting a tow truck to pull you anywhere when you're hooked on to a gooseneck trailer full of tractors) #@$%! . They gave me a 1/2 ton pickup for days on end as a loaner . Couldn't get much work done (at least my type of work) with a 1/2 ton gasser and I lost alot of money with the truck being in the shop all the time (they didn't care that I was losing money). When they finally bought it back (I had to threaten them with attorneys and the whole bit) I went out and bought another one exactly like it figuring my odds of getting 2 bad ones in a row were pretty slim (I also buy GM vehicles on the "employee plan" which is way under invoice).
When it came time to buy another truck this year I bought a Dodge/Cummins when I could have gotten another GM alot cheaper with alot more toys on it. Other than the infamous door seal problem with the Dodge - so far so good. We'll see how happy I am after about 30,000 miles of pulling tractors and fifth wheels around.
