Dodge NV4500 to Jeep conversion?

I sold my 1998 NV4500HD to my uncle when I upgraded to the NV5600. He wants to install it in his Jeep Scrambler project, which I think is a 1981. He wants to run either a Dodge 318 or 360 engine and I think a Dana 300 T-case. I have the transmission still as I told him I would get it ready to go. My question is what input shaft and bearing retainer do I need to get? As far as I know I need to install the GM 1-1/8" input shaft with the retainer to match. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? I guess then all he has to do is get the bell housing and T-case adapters from Advance Adapters. Any information on this would be great.
